The New Hampshire Food Bank is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) & Nutrition Incentives Associate. The SNAP & Nutrition Incentives Associate will assist the SNAP Outreach & Application Coordinator in the implementation of the NHFB SNAP Outreach Plan to increase access to SNAP, the federal food assistance program, to eligible NH residents. This includes assisting individuals applying for SNAP through the online NH EASY application and in person, promoting SNAP at outreach events, supporting the maintenance of applicant data, supporting the development of monthly and/or quarterly reports as requested, collaborating with other team members and outreach partners, and distributing outreach materials and reinforcements to outreach partners. Additionally, the SNAP & Nutrition Incentives Associate will provide support to the NH Nutrition Incentive Network (NHNIN) Coordinator with New Hampshire’s Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive Programs (GusNIP), such as Granite State Market Match (GSMM) and Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB).

Responsibilities:

· Promote SNAP and nutrition incentive benefits to New Hampshire residents and communities through networking, tabling/canvassing at outreach events, giving presentations, and other public engagement opportunities.

· Explain SNAP eligibility requirements and the application processes; assist with enrollment, including follow-up and the submission of verification documents.

· Educate individuals and organizations on the availability and use of nutrition incentives, including where and how to access them.

· Conduct outreach in appropriate languages using NHFB’s language assistance resources.

· Address and correct myths or misperceptions related to SNAP and nutrition incentive programs.

· Distribute outreach and educational materials to individuals, community organizations, and partner markets.

· Assist with training volunteers, outreach partners, and market partners as needed.

· Support the SNAP Outreach Coordinator, NHNIN Coordinator, and Nutrition Programs Manager with data entry and narrative content for monthly, quarterly, and grant-related reports.

· Support communication and collaboration with federal and state partners by attending webinars, trainings, and relevant meetings.

· Build and maintain effective working relationships with NHFB staff, departments, market partners, and external stakeholders.

· Conduct site visits to observe implementation, support staff, and strengthen partner relationships.

· Collaborate with NHFB’s Multimedia Coordinator to develop and distribute statewide and regional outreach materials.

· Reply to SNAP customer inquiries submitted through the GSMM’s website and Facebook page, providing accurate and timely information.

Requirements

· High school diploma/GED and two years of work experience required.

· College degree and experience in community food and/or nutrition, public health initiatives, food systems/access preferred.

· Valid Driver’s License

· Spanish as a second language a plus.
