West Central Behavioral Health is a community mental health organization dedicated to"...promoting, preserving and strengthening the mental health and quality of life in our community” since 1977. We are passionate about providing quality evidenced-based treatment for mental health and substance use disorders for individuals, families and communities.
We are expanding our HR team and seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join us in Lebanon, NH. This role offers the chance to be involved in all aspects of human resources and grow professionally.
Responsibilities (partial list):
- Responsible for a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, workers’ compensation, safety, leave administration, and compliance.
- Provides guidance on employment related issues, such as ADA, FMLA, FLSA, harassment, discrimination, diversity, correction active and progressive discipline.
- Contributes to initiatives that foster a positive work environment.
- Assists with recruitment, including advertising, interviews, job offers.
- Provides manager, employee training and development.
- Maintains accurate employee records and utilizes all platforms of Human Resources Information System (UKG Workforce Ready).
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partners with Safety and Compliance teams to align HR efforts with agency safety goals.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration or a related field
Experience:
- 4-6 years of progressive Human Resources professional experience, HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP)
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of HR practices and state and federal employment laws
- Experience working with an HRIS system
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem solving, relationship building and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in applicant tracking, recruitment metrics, interview and selection, sourcing and job board management
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to access all Agency sites
Other:
- Ability to obtain and maintain Agency and/or State of New Hampshire required background check(s)
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the ability to maintain that confidence.
