Senior Budget & Financial Strategy Manager

Position Summary 

We’re seeking a strategic budget & finance leader to drive long-term financial health, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This role blends tactical budget management with high-level financial strategy, partnering closely with executive leadership to inform decision-making, ensure fiscal responsibility, and drive long-term financial health.  

What You’ll Do 

• Lead the annual budgeting process and multi-year/10-year forecasting. 
• Develop scenario plans, business cases, and financial models to guide strategic initiatives. 
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights. 
• Collaborate across departments to align resources with strategic priorities. 
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, accounting, and mortgage covenant requirements. 
• Manage relationships with lenders and credit rating agencies. 
• Oversee post-retirement benefits plans, property tax compliance, and asset valuation. 
• Optimize borrowing costs while balancing investment returns and risk. 

What We’re Looking For 

• Proven experience in senior-level financial strategy, planning, and analysis. 
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels. 
• Expertise in GAAP, FASB, FERC, and utility-sector regulatory requirements. 
• Exceptional analytical skills and financial modeling expertise. 
• Track record of maintaining strong lender and credit rating relationships.
