About the Job

Description

The Fresh Rescue Coordinator is responsible for building relationships with local food donors from retail stores to manufacturing organizations, businesses conducting food drives and donations from Feeding America. They will work to grow existing donors, identify new food donors and other sources of food donations. They will also assist with various special events and other fundraising initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with Food Bank Agency Relations Manager to develop an annual solicitating plan.

· Build relationships with local industry businesses and other partnerships to generate food donations.

· Monitor donor requests to ensure that food donations are acceptable and appropriate for distribution to partner agencies.

Requirements

· Associate’s degree (AS) or one or more years of any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

· 1 – 3 years of experience in packaged good sales; food experience is preferred.

· Serv-Safe Certification required or ability to acquire within 6 months.

· Warehousing experience strongly desired.
