Since 1965, Keene Housing has provided housing assistance and supportive services to thousands of low-income elderly, disabled and working families in New Hampshire’s picturesque Monadnock region.  With 36 staff members and an annual agency budget of approximately $15 million, Keene Housing owns or operates approximately 550 units of housing, administers over 780 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) rental subsidies and operates several supportive service programs.

Keene Housing’s commitment to creative policy and program design has made it a national model for innovation in affordable housing development and management. Keene Housing was one of 12 high performing public housing authorities (PHAs) admitted into HUD’s Moving to Work (MTW) demonstration program in 1999.  Since then, Keene Housing has leveraged MTW to comprehensively redesign its HCV program, convert its public housing portfolio to privately financed, project based affordable housing and create new programs focusing on particularly vulnerable populations including domestic violence victims, disabled residents and homeless families.

Description

Keene Housing is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team.  This is a full time, 40 hours per week position.  Keene Housing is a nationally recognized leader in housing policy reform, affordable housing development and property management.  The agency employs over 40 staff members, operates an annual agency budget of $20 million, owns or operates approximately 600 units of housing and administers over 800 HCV rental subsidies. 

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Finance team. There are 3 full-time positions and the Director.  This employee will perform financial analysis and modeling, report financial status, prepare budgets, manage our procurement process and support IT needs. The ideal candidate must possess advanced skills in Excel, have strong understanding of technology, demonstrate sound technical skills, good judgment and strong operations focus. Additionally, must be able to manage deadlines and work independently.

Education/Experience:  Successful Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related area and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. A comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles is required. 

Compensation:  Starting rate is $35 per hour, may increase depending on experience.  Keene Housing offers an excellent compensation package including health, dental and vision insurance (Agency pays 83% of premium), retirement contribution up to 13%, disability, life insurance, and time off benefits.  There are a number of unique employee programs including dogs at work, babies at work, employee garden and wellness program.
