Since 1965, Keene Housing has provided housing assistance and supportive services to thousands of low-income elderly, disabled and working families in New Hampshire’s picturesque Monadnock region.
Keene Housing’s commitment to creative policy and program design has made it a national model for innovation in affordable housing development and management. Keene Housing was one of 12 high performing public housing authorities (PHAs) admitted into HUD’s Moving to Work (MTW) demonstration program in 1999. Since then, Keene Housing has leveraged MTW to comprehensively redesign its HCV program, convert its public housing portfolio to privately financed, project based affordable housing and create new programs focusing on particularly vulnerable populations including domestic violence victims, disabled residents and homeless families.
About the Job
Keene Housing (KH) is seeking a qualified and experienced Housing Program Manager. KH is a nationally recognized leader in housing policy reform and affordable housing development. The agency employs over 40 staff members, operates an annual agency budget of $20 million, owns or operates approximately 600 units of housing and administers over 800 HCV rental subsidies.
Reporting to the Director of Housing, the Housing Program Manager is responsible for overseeing KH’s property management functions including direct oversite of 5 Property Management staff and ensuring department compliance with governing agencies’ rules, regulations and requirements including but not limited to HUD, USDA Rural Development (RD), and the IRS. This position will support and develop a high-performing team, drive operational excellence across the portfolio while upholding Fair Housing standards and KH policies.
Education/Experience: Qualified applicants must have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or 10 years of related experience/training, including 5+ years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination. Experience in and knowledge of affordable housing, low-income tax credit programs, HUD rules and regulations is required.
Compensation: $65,000 to $75,000 depending on experience. Keene Housing offers an excellent compensation package including health and dental insurance, retirement, disability, life insurance, paid parental leave and time off benefits.
