Easterseals NH services include early childhood centers of excellence, medical rehabilitation, camping and recreation, vocational services, senior services, substance use treatment, adult day programs, community-based services, individual service options, transportation services, residential service options, and veterans services.

We are seeking an Employee Engagement Coordinator to join our team for an exciting new opportunity to create inclusion and belonging amongst a dynamic and diverse staff!! The individual in this position will spearhead initiatives, events, trainings, and systems that foster engagement and belonging among a diverse community of employees. The Employee Engagement Coordinator will build trusting relationships with employees across the program, covering all roles and shifts and design and coordinate initiatives that recognize and appreciate staff, including celebrations and recognition and awards programs.

This position will work directly with the employees of our Residential Educational (ResEd) programs. Our ResEd services offer intensive residential treatment and educational services at four Gammon Academy campuses in New Hampshire with varying levels of supports for ages 5 to 21. This position is based in Manchester, NH and will include some travel to Lancaster, NH.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Create spaces, displays, and resources that provide comfort and community-building for employees.
  • Design and coordinate initiatives that celebrate diversity among staff, including cultural, generational, linguistic, ethnic, orientation and gender diversity.
  • Identify and coordinate training to increase cultural competency and inclusive practices skills among program leadership and staff.
  • Identify and coordinate partnerships that support employees, such as English learning classes and specialized trainers.
  • Contribute to agency committees and initiatives related to engagement, such as the Employee Appreciation Committee and Accessibility Committee.
  • Use surveys, dialogue, and assessment tools to monitor employee engagement and identify areas for growth.
  • Travel between program sites to ensure cultural alignment.
  • Conduct meetings with staff at all levels to solicit feedback and suggestions.
  • Establish and maintain a working relationship with the Human Resources team to ensure consistency of work across the organization.

Qualifications:

Our priority is to have the individual possess the necessary skills and competencies to excel in this role, regardless of their overall work history.

  • Bachelor's degree in Sociology, School Leadership, Organizational Development, Diversity and Equity, or similar subject area preferred.
  • Relevant experience with employee engagement, equity and inclusion, training & development, organizational development or other related fields. 
  • Experience promoting employee engagement in the workplace.
  • Knowledge of proven employee engagement strategies.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and multiculturalism in one’s work experience.
  • Strong work ethic and high level of integrity; demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with tact and discretion.
  • Exceptional listening skills and ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees at all levels.
  • Ability to lead projects, define goals, set milestones and follow through on deliverables.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience working with New American communities in southern New Hampshire preferred.
  • Bilingualism preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the use of technology, including the use of Microsoft Office, statistical software and advanced Web applications.

 Compensation: $55,000-$70,000 annually.

Hours: This is a full-time, salaried position.
