Kearsarge Indian Museum was founded in 1990 by Charles “Bud” and Nancy Thompson as an educational and cultural center to connect visitors with Native American culture, past and present, and to encourage respect for our environment. About the Job
Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum seeks a creative, organized, and mission-driven team member to help grow our community of visitors, donors, and members. This part-time position blends communications, fundraising support, and outreach. The ideal candidate is comfortable with technology, enjoys connecting with people, and brings both attention to detail and marketing savvy.
You’ll help tell the museum’s story, strengthen donor relationships, and design and support events and campaigns that reflect our values of respect, education, and cultural understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage content for email newsletters, social media, and press releases
- Support donor and member communications, including acknowledgments and renewals
- Maintain accurate records in donor management software (training provided)
- Work with Development Committee to develop outreach events, community partnerships, and fundraising campaigns
- Track engagement metrics and contribute to campaign planning and reporting
- Support grant writing, grant reporting and data organization as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Experience with marketing, fundraising, or nonprofit work preferred
- Comfort learning new tools and managing multiple tasks
- Skills in donor development, data analysis, or grant writing are a plus
Compensation: Part-time (25–30 hours/week), hourly pay based on experience, flexible schedule, opportunity to grow with a dynamic mission-driven team.
