Northern Border Regional Commission
The Northern Border Regional Commission supports economic development in New Hampshire through three federal grant programs: Catalyst, Forest Economy Program, and Timber for Transit
Catalyst:
- Non-infrastructure - Feasibility Studies, Workforce Development, Business Development, Basic Healthcare, Resource Conservation/Tourism/Recreation
- Infrastructure - Transportation, Basic Public Infrastructure, Telecommunications
Forest Economy Program:
- Non-infrastructure - Community Development, Workforce Development & Training/Retraining, Business Planning & Technical Assistance, Marketing/Communication/Education (when linked to one of the first three priorities)
- Infrastructure - Transportation, Basic Public Infrastructure, Telecommunications
Timber for Transit:
- Using modern timber products like cross-laminated timber, glue-laminated timber, wood fiber insulation, etc in transportation and transportation adjacent infrastructure.
State & local governments, other authorities of the state, 501c nonprofit organizations, and federally recognized Native American tribes are eligible to apply.
NBRC accepts pre-applications twice a year in a Spring and Fall round. After pre-application review, eligible projects are invited to submit a full application.
