My Organizations FAQs

As a logged in user, you can see and edit which organizations you are affiliated with as a board member, an employee or a volunteer.

Manage Your Organizations

View your affiliations

  • Log in to the website.
  • In the main menu, click on the "My Organizations" menu item.
    • If you do not see the "My Organizations" menu item, you are not logged in.
  • Scroll down to see the organizations that you are or were affiliated with.
  • For each affiliation, you will see:
    • Your affiliation status (current, former or pending),
    • Your role (employee of, board member of or volunteer for)
    • The name of the organizations
  • Click on the arrow in the right corner of any organization to see more details.  You will see:
    • Whether or not you are designated as an organization point of contact
    • Whether or not this is your primary affiliation
    • Your job title
    • A link to update your affiliation

If a data migration error has occurred and an organization is listed that you have never been affiliated with, please use the Report an Error button to let us know.

Update your affiliation

Things that you can update:

  • Whether you are a board member, employee or volunteer
  • Whether you are currently with that organization or it is a former affiliation
  • Your start and end dates with an organization
  •  Your role with the organization (Executive, Fundraising, HR, etc.)
  •  Your job title

Add an affiliation

Click on the Add Organization button to add an affiliation to an existing organization or create a new organization

  • For existing organization, the point of contact for that organization will be notified that you have requested to be added and they can approve or decline your request.
  • When the organization that you would like to become affiliated with is not in the list of organizations, you will be asked for additional information to create the organization.

View Organization Information

From the My organizations page, click through on the organization name.
Scroll down to the Organization Details Section

  • You will see basic information about the organization. This information is visible to all affiliates of your organization.
    • As the point of contact, you can edit this information.
  • The membership tab will show you the organization's membership status
  • Clicking on the Current Affiliates tab will show you all individuals with accounts who are currently affiliated with your organization.
    • As the point of contact, you can edit any of these affiliations, for example when someone leaves, you can change their status to former and enter an end date
  • If you are the point of contact for the organization
    •  The Past Affiliates Tab will show you individuals who were once affiliated with your organization, but are no longer actively affiliated.
    • The Affiliate Requests tab will show you anyone who has logged in and requested to be added as an affiliate to your organization.
      • You can approve, edit or reject these requests.
