Program Coordinator

American Youth Foundation

The American Youth Foundation's programs welcome people to discover and develop their own best self, to seek balance in mental, physical, social and spiritual living, and to explore the power of creating inclusive, caring communities. Thousands of youth engage in programs year-round at our beautiful properties in New Hampshire (AYF Merrowvista) and Michigan (AYF Miniwanca). People from across the country and around the world come to our facilities for community and school programs, summer camps and leadership conferences. Our programs inspire individuals and groups to put their best into action and to make a positive difference in big and small ways within their communities and in the wider world. We are a nonprofit youth development organization, whose mission has provided the foundation for all that we do since 1925.

The Program Coordinator (PC) role is a year-round position which, along with the Director of Camp Programs (DCP), is responsible for the planning, preparing and delivering of inclusive, residential youth development programs, year-round, at Merrowvista, with a primary focus on the summer camp program. The PC is heavily involved with the running of program throughout the summer and fall and helps to ensure that all state, American Camping Association, and AYF program regulations are followed. In the fall and spring seasons, the PC is the primary manager of our ideal client relationships, interfacing with program participants and parents from the camp community, as well as marketing and recruitment for the summer program. Additionally, alongside other staff, this role supports winter, spring, and fall programming through direct program leading, planning, and client relations for the programs of those seasons.
