CSP Relationship Manager

Position Purpose

The Community & School Programs (CSP) Relationship Manager is a year-round position, responsible for building and cultivating relations with AYF - Merrowvista’s CSP clients. The Manager’s primary purpose is to develop and promote CSP programs, focus on client recruitment and retention, develop strategies to expand new business and programmatic relationships, and to promote the mission of the AYF locally and regionally.

Essential Functions

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, understand their needs and develop plans to meet them
  • Generate new business and identify opportunities for expanding the communities served by the AYF
  • Identify key staff in client communities to cultivate relationships
  • Solicit client feedback and effectively resolve concerns aiming to preserve clients and renew contracts
  • Develop a marketing and inquiry management strategy for approaching potential clients
  • Gain solid knowledge of industry standards to inform retention and development strategies
  • Prepare long-term and annual plans for the continual development and improvement of the programs
  • Implement an effective system of program evaluation with the Merrowvista Director of CSP
  • Conduct regular in person informational and planning meetings with CSP stakeholders (administrators, teachers, parents)
  • Coordinate the production of client/participant handbooks and forms
  • Manage CSP preprogram business needs such as contracting and acquiring participant medical and dietary information
  • Maintain current CSP enrollment report
  • Develop and maintain a booking model that supports client needs while also maintaining a 18 to 24 month advance contracting plan for Merrowvista
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings to insure smooth integration with CSP program, finance and operation resources with program requirements

Secondary Functions

  • Help facilitate client meetings, trainings, and/or listening sessions while clients are present in an AYF program
  • Manage assigned marketing and travel budget line items
  • Serve as a member of the Site Emergency Response team
  • Serve as a Site Leader with overnight and on-call responsibilities, as assigned
  • Actively work to help create an effective and positive work culture at the site
  • Represent the AYF at regional, local, and national meetings and events
  • Other duties as required

Necessary Skills for Success

  • Ability to understand, promote, and actively include diverse perspectives and identities
  • Proven experience as a Client Relationship Manager and knowledge of customer relationship practices
  • Knowledge of long-range and phased linear planning process
  • Exceptionally good communication skills; including an ability to communicate effectively with youth participants and adult staff across a wide range of identities and backgrounds in small settings as well as in front of large groups
    • Proficiency in both English and Spanish preferred
  • Aptitude for fostering positive relationships
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills: active listening, feedback skills, teamwork and leadership skills
  • Effective organizational skills, attention to detail and management of deadlines
  • Self-motivated, energetic, service oriented team player with a problem-solving attitude
  • Client-oriented mindset
  • Willing to expand knowledge and responsibilities

Preferred Minimum Education, Experience and/or Certification

  • 3-5 years’ experience in fields such as education, youth development , or marketing and/or  BSc/BA in Business Administration or similar field
  • Demonstrated experience in sales and/or customer service
  • Knowledge of IT and database systems, facility maintenance means and methods, and food service is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in administration, marketing and financial management
  • Demonstrated experience in all facets of risk management
  • First Aid, CPR, Wilderness Risk Management, or other emergency management training preferred

Work Environment

  • Position work is located in Center Tuftonboro, NH
  • Primarily indoor and seasonal outdoor environments
  • Merrowvista’s site necessitates the capacity to move through rugged terrain
  • Weekend work and travel required as needed for meetings and client visits
    • Ability to drive and possession of valid US driver’s license required
  • Business casual, appropriate attire for multiple, differing settings
  • Hours as required to meet job demands, often Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
