Program Coordinator/Forensic Interviewer

The Granite State Children's Alliance is the membership organization for all the Child Advocacy Centers in New Hampshire. Additionally, the GSCA has direct oversight of the CACs in Belknap, Cheshire and Hillsborough Counties.

The Program Coordinator/Forensic Interviewer oversees the coordination and administration of forensic interviewing, case management services and conducts forensic interviews at the Greater Lakes Child Advocacy Center (Laconia). Additionally the Program Coordinator provides support services to children and family members; assists participants in the CAC’s multidisciplinary team; coordinates and monitors case progress; maintains client files; assists in the coordination of multi-agency case review and provides community education.

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, psychology or related field.
• Three years previous experience in providing social work/legal/advocacy services in a community setting. (Prefer Forensic Interviewing experience)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills so as to maintain strong, positive relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds, cultures and experiences.
• Adequate writing skills so as to complete forms, reports and other written materials.
• Adequate knowledge of the Child forensic interview, including but not limited to, a working knowledge of dynamics of child sexual abuse, working knowledge of law enforcement, ability to engage children of all ages in an interview-type setting, protocol required for a valid interview defensible in court.
• Demonstrated strong and creative problem solving skills.
• Self motivated and ability to manage time and projects effectively.
• Strong organizational skills.


• Provides a leadership role with the day-to-day operations of the Child Advocacy Center.
• Oversees the coordination and administration of forensic interviewing services.
• Conducts Forensic Interviews of referred clients.
• Coordinates CAC services with participating agencies including child protection (DCYF), law enforcement, Attorney General’s Office, County prosecutors, local crisis center supports, and medical and mental health personnel to ensure a timely and well coordinated response to requests for service.
• Maintains a positive relationship with multidisciplinary team members so as to ensure program success.
• Completes and maintains all necessary and appropriate files and records associated with intake.
• Assists in the gathering and reporting of program data, quality assurance and outcome evaluation as assigned.
• Facilitates Pre and Post Interview meetings with MDT members and families.
• Assists with crisis management services to children and families seen in the course of a Forensic Interview process with appropriate safety planning and system advocacy.
• Assists in scheduling CAC clients for evaluation and other necessary appointments. Assists parents and others in identifying and eliminating any barriers that may exist to keeping scheduled appointments.
• Consistently demonstrates leadership skills that are in support of the vision, mission, and philosophy of the Granite State Children’s Alliance at both the organizational and departmental level.
• Performs such other duties as assigned by the Director of Program Services.
• Participates in GSCA special projects.
• Works alongside the Director of Program Services for Forensic Interview training and job shadowing as necessary.
