Child & Family Support Therapist

Founded in 1963, Riverbend Community Mental Health is a private, nonprofit organization providing specialized behavioral health services in central New Hampshire. Core services include 24/7 emergency mobile crisis services; counseling services for children, adults, and families; addiction treatment; and community support, vocational services, and residential programs for adults and seniors. Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time Child & Family Therapist to work in our Children’s Intervention Program (ChIP), providing community-based support services to children and families where needed, including office, home, school, and primary care settings.
 
As a Community-based Child and Family Therapist, you will have the opportunity to engage with all the key social, cultural, and healthcare systems that touch a child and family, and have an unusual degree of freedom in guiding the therapeutic process. At the same time, you’ll be part of a dedicated team of professionals engaged in similar work, and benefit from significant collegial support.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related human services field is required. 
  • Eligibility to be licensed as a LCMHC, LMFT, or LICSW in NH is preferred.
  •  A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle with auto insurance or access to a reasonable alternative is required.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide parent, child, and family therapy
  • Provide support in office, home, school and/or primary care setting
  • Provide parenting education
  • Provide case management and assist with interagency coordination
  • Crisis management
