The Woodman Institute Museum Announces Board Appointments

The Woodman Institute Museum announces the appointment of three new Trustees and the transition of Thom Hindle from trustee to Museum Curator. Three Dover residents, each a fixture in the business community, will join current trustees Dover Attorney Anthony McManus and David Landry of Liberty Mutual.

Foundation for Seacoast Health Grants $317,600 to Families First

Portsmouth – The Foundation for Seacoast Health has granted $317,600 to Families First Health and Support Center, the Seacoast’s community health center. The grant will support general operations – including health, dental and family programs – and special projects such as bi-monthly luncheons for seniors held at the Community Campus, cervical cancer screenings, and a group to help families improve their diet and exercise habits.

Hannah Grimes Center awarded first Champion in Action of 2013!

Under the category of strengthening communities, the Hannah Grimes Center received the first Champion in Action award of 2013, presented by Citizens Bank and WMUR-TV. The prize includes a $35,000 grant and numerous PSAs on WMUR amounting to thousands of dollars in advertising hours.

Three named to NH Community Loan Fund board

Concord – Community leaders from Bedford, Concord and Dover have been elected to full terms on the board of directors of the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund, a nonprofit community development financial institution (CDFI) based in Concord.

Parent Information Center Names Michelle Lewis as Executive Director

At their January Board meeting the Parent Information Center Board of Directors named Michelle Lewis, M. Ed.,  as the Executive Director.  Michelle has been the Interim Executive Director since August, replacing Kevin Lew- Hanson.
