Keep Sound Minds Welcomes Assistant Director

KSM is proud to announce Shannon Lee as the new Assistant Director.A Harvard graduate, Shannon has a double Masters in Education and Social Work. She has extensive experience working for nonprofits and we look forward to her involvement with Keep Sound Minds. Thanks to Kim Walsh for stepping up to guide KSM over the last several months. She remains active on the board as Treasurer.

Gary Plant Named CFO of Mount Washington Observatory

North Conway – Mount Washington Observatory has named Gary Plant its Chief Financial Officer. In a move with the full endorsement of the organization’s Finance Committee and Board of Trustees, Plant has been promoted from his previous role as the North Conway-based nonprofit organization’s Director of Finance.

NH Center for Nonprofits to receive New Hampshire Advantage Award

Concord - At its 99th Annual Dinner, Lifetime Achievement and New Hampshire Advantage Awards Celebration to be held Oct. 24 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel/Center of New Hampshire in Manchester, the Business and Industry Association will recognize and honor the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits with the 2012 New Hampshire Advantage Award.

New Hampshire Association for the Blind Strengthens its Board

Concord – Michelle Arruda, Board Chair of the New Hampshire Association for the Blind announced today the election of John Barrett of Tilton, Paul Dann of Hopkinton, David Hagen of Hampton and Alison Perrella of Bedford to its Board of Directors. Each of these individuals will serve as ambassadors of the Association and serve on various sub-committees of the Board in areas that suit their expertise.

Monadnock United Way Reaches 30% of Goal with $694,369 Raised to Date

Keene – The first Report Breakfast for the 2013-2013 Monadnock United Way (MUW) campaign was held on Wednesday, September 26th at Stone Arch Village in Keene. Bill Goodwin, General Campaign Chair, welcomed an enthusiastic crowd to this year’s first meeting. Bill acknowledged and thanked the many campaign volunteers in attendance including Loaned Employees, Division Chairs, Partner Agency representatives and Campaign Coordinators.

St. Mary’s Bank Announces $2,500 Grant to CTAC

Funds will help provide computer repair services to in-need Greater Manchester residents
Manchester – St. Mary’s Bank has announced a $2,500 grant to the not-for-profit Computer Technology Assistance Corps (CTAC), of Goffstown.The money will help cover the cost of computer repair services for underserved and low-income residents in the Greater Manchester area. The Computer Technology Assistance Corps restores and refurbishes recently retired computers donated by businesses and individuals, and then distributes the computers at a minimal cost to low-income households, not-for-profits, community service organizations, schools and other groups. CTAC also provides low-income individuals with training and support services, including computer repairs and upgrades.
