NH Center for Nonprofits Announces New Board Members

The NH Center for Nonprofits (the Center) is pleased to announce the addition of three new members who were recently elected to its Board of Directors. Joining the Board are Kendra Bell, Joshua Meehan, and Charla Stevens.

Kendra Bell is a CPA with Cohos Advisors in Lancaster. Kendra’s expertise and focus is on providing compliance and advisory services to municipal and nonprofit clients. She has prior extensive experience auditing municipalities, non-profits and housing authorities, including Single Audit experience. She spearheads the firm’s educational workshops, which offer both training in specific topics as well as networking opportunities. Kendra has participated in presentations for various government and nonprofit affiliations including nonprofit board training. She also currently serves on the Lancaster NH Rotary Club Board of Directors, Stark Village School Board, SAU #58 Board, and the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Board of Directors. 

Joshua Meehan is Executive Director of Keene Housing, one of the Monadnock region’s leading affordable housing providers. Locally, Josh serves on the boards of the New Hampshire Housing Authorities Corporation and the New Hampshire Care Collaborative. He is a member of the New Hampshire State Health Assessment and State Health Improvement Plan Advisory Council, the New Hampshire Housing and Community Development Planning Council, the City of Keene’s Juvenile Conference Committee and Housing Action New Hampshire’s Governing Council. He advocates for affordable housing nationally through his service on the boards of the Public Housing Authorities Directors Association, and the Moving to Work Collaborative.

Charla Stevens of Charla Stevens Consulting offers services to businesses including workplace training, independent investigations, strategic human resources consulting, and mediation and conflict resolution. Prior to consulting, she practiced law in New Hampshire and Massachusetts for more than 37 years. During her years of practice, she was recognized as a top lawyer in employment law and also the recipient of awards including the Granite State HR Hero Award, the Jack B. Middleton Pro Bono Services Award, the Business and Industry Association's Above and Beyond Award, and the NH Business Review Business Excellence Award. Charla is currently the chair of the Granite United Way Board of Directors, Trustee of Solution Health, a Commissioner of the New Hampshire Lawyers' Assistance Program, and serves on the American Bar Association Section of Litigation's Task Force on Mental Health and Wellness.
