Charity Auction Bill Passes the Senate

January 22, 2024

A bill to free up auctioneering services for nonprofits has passed the Senate. SB 513, introduced by Senator Gannon (R-Sandown), would allow non-member individuals hired by a charitable, educational, religious, or other nonprofit organization to engage in auctioneering services for charity auctions without a license for that organization. The bill passed the Senate on a voice vote last week and heads to the House.
