Applications now open for the Hoffman-Haas Fellowship, NH’s premiere nonprofit board leadership development program

Concord, NH — The New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits is now accepting fellow and mentor applications for the Hoffman-Haas Fellowship, NH’s premier nonprofit board leadership development program. The application deadline is January 19, 2024.

Since 2014, the Hoffman-Haas Fellowship has provided a solid foundation of board essentials including governance, resource development, fiscal strategy, and leadership to over 200 alumni Fellows throughout NH. The program is a combination of educational sessions with nationally recognized experts and cohort mentorship with trained mentors who have proven track records of board leadership.

“As a participant in the first cohort of Hoffman-Haas fellows, it is exciting to watch the program continuously evolve and grow future generations of non-profit board leaders in the state,” said Shannon Sullivan, Director of Corporate and Community Partnerships at the Palace Theatre in Manchester. “Participation in the Hoffman-Haas Fellowship is essential for anyone who aspires to effectively use their talents and skills to be an impactful board member and truly improve their community. The program also provides meaningful connections and fosters long-lasting relationships for fellows and mentors alike.”

For the 2024 session, the Center’s goal is to bring together the most diverse Hoffman-Haas Fellowship cohort to date.

“We believe that diversity in the Fellowship is essential to supporting New Hampshire nonprofit organizations. We strongly encourage applicants from all walks of life to apply, and we want to be especially inclusive to people of color, of all ages and gender identities who strive to strengthen their communities through board service,” remarked Hoffman-Haas project manager, Keryn Kriegl.

The Center is hosting a Hoffman-Haas Fellowship informational session on Tuesday, December 5 from 4- 5 pm. The virtual event is free to attend but you must register by visiting nhnonprofits.org/fellowship. More information about the Fellowship can also be found at that website.
