NH JAG is a statewide 501(c)3 organization dedicated to engaging youth most at risk in developing the leadership, academic engagement, and career skills to graduate from high school and pursue meaningful lives. Launched in New Hampshire in 1987 as a state-based network of dropout prevention programs, the JAG program achieves its mission by forming partnerships with schools, community colleges, and community-based organizations and maintaining innovative experiential curricula focused on purposeful learning, career development, and real-world work experiences.
About the Job
The Youth Specialist is a dynamic role in motivating, educating, and improving the lives of 16-24 year old Youth in New Hampshire. A typical day, your work might include:
- Recruiting Youth to become eligible participants in Out-of-School programming, with a focus on the Healthcare sector.
- Promoting and building your self-sustained program to reach the maximum number of community partners, occupational training, and career pathways for participants.
- Designing your schedule to best fit the needs of your participants.
- Working primarily independently, however, collaborating with other Out-of-School Specialists.
- Data reporting in the NH Works database.
Please reach out if you have many of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple, competing priorities.
- Experience working with Youth with barriers to entering the workforce.
- Ability to do some traveling around New Hampshire, primarily the Lakes Region.
