Lakes Region Mental Health Center (LRMHC) is the community mental health center serving Belknap and southern Grafton Counties. We provide services to 24 surrounding towns, and nearly 4,000 patients each year. A non-profit, private corporation founded in 1966, Lakes Region Mental Health Center is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors dedicated to our mission.  We provide integrated mental and physical health care to children, adults, elders and their families who are living with – and recovering from- mental illness and/or emotional distress. Our dedicated professionals provide the highest quality of healthcare and collaborate with many other organizations in the region to improve access to care and meet the mental health needs of the community. Essential Responsibilities

The Peer Support Specialist is a person who uses their lived experience of recovery from mental illness and/or addiction, plus skills learned in formal training, to deliver services in mental health settings to provide mind-body recovery and resiliency. The Peer Support Specialist, under the general direction of their supervisor, will share their stories of recovery and enter into mutually supportive relationships with patients that support recovery. The Residential Peer Support Specialist will be offered housing in the residence, to include all utilities. The position is an overnight sleep shift, and will require ability to be available for patients in the residence from the hours of 11 PM to 7 AM. Shift days will vary during the week, to include team meetings, trainings and program related attendance.



Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services areas with an emphasis in mental health and/or personal experience; a combination of education and personal experience may be substituted. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
