Description

Position: Residential Clinician

Supervisor: Director of Clinical Operations

Responsibilities & Specific Duties:

  • Responsible for conducting intake assessments based on ASAM criteria.
  • Accurately complete updated level of care assessments as required by client’s insurance companies to submit to the Business Manager.
  • Collaborate with Business Manager for pre-authorizations, as needed.
  • Facilitate daily didactic groups for residential clients 3 mornings a week, using an evidenced-based curriculum.
  • Co-facilitate recovery based didactic groups with residential staff as needed.
  • Provide weekly individual counseling to residential clients.
  • Complete all notes and documentation as required in a timely manner. This includes but is not limited to assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, releases of information, and discharge summaries.
  • Attend and participate in weekly residential staff meetings.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residential information pertaining to residential clients as required by agency policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and procedures.
  • Recommend and collaborate with Clinical Director on programming that may strengthen the clinical focus of the residential program.
  • Assist with the facilitation of groups for the teen population external to the residential program.

Administrative:

· Complete all requirements to maintain counseling licensure.

· Meet weekly with Director of Clinical Operations for supervision.

· Other related duties as required by your direct supervisor.

Supervision:

  • The Director of Clinical Operations provides direct supervision and management.
  • Responsible for providing support and supervision to Recovery Support
  • Specialists and Certified Recovery Support Workers (“CRSWs”), if applicable,

for issues related to ASAM Level of Care assessments, group facilitation, and other clinical matters.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience treating individuals with substance misuse, mental health disorders and substance misuse and co-occurring disorders.
  • A bachelor’s degree with Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor State of NH Licensure, or master’s degree in counseling or closely related field
  • Experience working in a residential treatment setting is highly preferred, but not required.
