POSITION DESCRITION

Location: Manchester, NH (Hybrid schedule available)
Reports To: Senior Director of Programs

Salary Type: Hourly 
Compensation: $24/hour | Part-time, up to 30 hours/week | Occasional evenings required

 

Organization Overview

Breathe New Hampshire is a statewide nonprofit public health organization dedicated to eliminating lung disease and improving the lives of those affected by respiratory conditions. Through education, advocacy, and collaboration, we address critical lung health issues including asthma, COPD, youth vaping, air quality, and the health impacts of climate change.

 

Position Summary

The Program Coordinator supports the delivery and growth of Breathe NH’s educational and public health programs. This role involves coordinating community-based initiatives, developing partnerships, and engaging diverse audiences across the state to promote respiratory health.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement health education programs across New Hampshire.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, schools, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Customize programs to meet local needs on topics including asthma, COPD, vaping prevention, tobacco cessation, and environmental health.
  • Contribute to the design and support of outreach and marketing initiatives to enhance program visibility and drive increased participation.
  • Assist in creating educational materials and training resources.
  • Track program outcomes and gather feedback to inform improvements.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, health education, human services, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in program coordination, outreach, or health education preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Knowledge of respiratory health issues is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable engaging diverse communities.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel statewide.
  • Availability for occasional evening programs.
