Job Summary

Peer Support Recovery Supervisor supervises and supports a team of recovery specialists working in statewide transitional housing programs. Recovery specialists work with participants who are in recovery from a mental health and/or substance use condition. The supervisor will engage in relationship building with program staff, organizational leadership, and community partners as needed to further the reach and impact of peer support services and programming. This role will help team members build upon their peer support and advocacy skills.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Training and oversight of the Peer Support Recovery Specialists team in the day-to-day operations for these roles.
  • Conducts regular visits with peer support staff at programs around the state.
  • Participate in training aimed at increasing group and individual mentoring skills and peer support supervision. Ensuring that peer support staff maintain training requirements to meet or maintain peer support certification.
  • Able to provide space for co-reflection to process through challenging situations that staff may encounter.
  • Complete paperwork and documentation in a timely and efficient manner
  • Schedules and leads peer support program team and supervisory meetings and seeks consultation when needed from a supervisor.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled supervision with the NAMI NH supervisor to focus on performance, boundary maintenance, ethics, and program/grant needs.
  • Work closely with program administrators, counselors, and other program staff. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required to talk or hear along with frequently standing; walking; using hands to finger, handle or feel; and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge

  • Obtained or working towards NH Peer Support Certification.
  • Previous supervisory work experience, at least 3 years preferred.
  • Strong planning, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Statewide travel is required.
