Description

Since 1978, the Thrive Survivor Support Center (THRIVE), formerly Crisis Center of Central NH, has worked to end domestic and sexual violence in Merrimack County through advocacy, empowerment, education, and collaboration.

We seek a reliable, collaborative, detail-oriented Office and Finance Support Coordinator to join our team. This role supports financial and agency operations and provides general office coordination. The position requires accuracy, initiative, flexibility, and the ability to balance multiple projects while supporting the organization’s mission. The ability to shift tasks to meet agency needs is essential. 

 

Position Summary

The Office and Finance Support Coordinator is a critical role to meet THRIVE’s day-to-day financial and administrative operations. Responsibilities include bookkeeping, reconciliations, payroll support, grant compliance, and general office management. The role works closely with the Director of Operations and collaborates with staff, vendors, and external auditors to improve communication, system efficiency and overall agency operations. 

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online.
  • Process accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly.
  • Track income and expenses in line with state and federal grant requirements.
  • Work with the Director of Operations to monitor grant budgets and restricted funds; assist with required reporting.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
  • Support annual audit preparation and coordinate with auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial policies and procedures.

Office & Administrative Support

  • Manage office supplies, equipment, mail, and phone systems.
  • Support building maintenance and vendor relationships.
  • Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Process donations using donor tracking software.
  • Provide logistical support for fundraising events (supplies, bookings, etc.).
  • Answer phones and process mail.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field OR equivalent professional experience.
  • 1–2 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (nonprofit preferred).
  • Familiarity with state and federal grant compliance and reporting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Clear, supportive communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience handling confidential financial information.
  • 1–2 years of experience in an office/administrative setting.
