LRCS is one of 10 designated Area Agencies in New Hampshire that provides community-based services to individuals with developmental disabilities or acquired brain disorders, and their families. NH’s Area Agency system serves in excess of 10,000 individuals and families. The region encompasses Belknap County and southern Grafton County. The 24 communities served by LRCS are:  Alexandria, Alton, Ashland, Barnstead, Belmont, Bridgewater, Bristol, Campton, Center Harbor, Ellsworth, Gilford, Gilmanton, Groton, Hebron, Holderness, Laconia, Meredith, New Hampton, Plymouth, Rumney, Sanbornton, Thornton, Tilton and Wentworth.

Description

Lakes Region Community Services is seeking a self-motivated, organized individual to join our Information Technology Department as an IT Support Specialist. The IT Support Specialist is a key first contact for LRCS employees and helps to assist in training, troubleshooting and general IT Support. 

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, with the ability to express technical information to non-technical users in a positive and professional manner. Should be comfortable with the set up and maintenance of Windows, Apple iOS, and Android devices along with business software applications including Office 365, Adobe, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. In conjunction with the IT Department, this person will also help support the LRCS website and SharePoint site. 

This position will require working in our main office as well as our offsite locations. Must be able to work independently. Some work may be done remotely, but does require regular onsite availability. 

Job Requirements: 

Provides technical assistance to all staff. Responds to user requests for service and determines and prioritizes the nature and extent of support needed. 

Helps maintain and track agency owned computers, tablets, iPads, cell phones and other devices. Assists with running of device updates as well as updating software on the devices when appropriate.  

Requires basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, security systems, and application software/web applications being used to provide support to users. 

Keep current on IT security issues and IT market trends.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree in Computer Science or related field and 1-3 years’ experience providing IT support or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Experience with Microsoft Office products required, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Access. Experience with Office 365 preferred. 

Familiarity with WordPress / Website design preferred.

Ability to clearly, concisely and effectively communicate both orally and in writing.  Must possess training skills that will allow communication of technical information to non-technical users.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure which may involve adhering to strict deadlines. Ability to multitask and transition quickly and effectively between tasks, as well as keeping tasks organized is required. Ability to follow up on tasks is critical.
