Financial Controller

The Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley is seeking Financial Controller to be part of a leadership team that is deeply committed to providing life enhancing experiences for children and families. Formal training in Accounting and Finance, related work experience, strong analytical and problem solving skills, and systems development skills are required. Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Cash flow management
• Track unrestricted and restricted funds
• Ensure appropriate controls & compliance with GAAP
• Budget development and forecasting
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports as necessary
• Tie Member revenue with QuickBooks
• Monitor assets and investments
• Track and reconcile fundraising income and expenses
• Review and/or file tax forms, extensions, exemptions, and forms 1099
• Assist with external audits
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Month end closing cycle and maintain general ledger

Knowledge required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (MBA preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience managing an accounting department
• Thorough knowledge of budgeting/forecasting and GAAP
• Proficient in Excel, QuickBooks, and Microsoft office programs
• Experience with customer/member tracking systems a plus
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organization and analytical skills
• Prior experience supervising staff
