Executive Director – Food Pantry & Community Assistance Center

Saint Vincent DePaul Exeter is seeking a mission-driven Executive Director (ED) to lead it’s Food Pantry and Community Assistance Center. This role is ideal for an experienced leader who can strengthen operations, elevate client services, and guide the organization toward long-term sustainability.

1. Stabilize & Systematize 

• Document and formalize all essential processes (operations, HR, finance, compliance).
• Establish a professional operating model that enables the Board to shift fully to governance.

2. Expand Client Impact 

• Transition services beyond emergency food to broader stability-focused support.
• Build partnerships (housing, job training, healthcare) and develop mentoring/coaching programs.
• Strengthen communications, community engagement, and donor outreach.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Management: Supervise staff, organize volunteer operations, and ensure a supportive, mission-aligned culture.
• Fundraising: Develop diversified revenue streams including grants, major donors, and corporate partners.
• Community Relations: Serve as spokesperson; manage media; build strong relationships with local partners, the NH Food Bank, and community leaders.
• Operations: Oversee facilities, technology, compliance, and overall operational excellence.

Preferred Candidate

• 3+ years of progressive leadership, ideally in social services or food security.
• Demonstrated ability to build systems, processes, and organizational structure.
• Deep alignment with the Catholic mission of SVdP and a commitment to serving with compassion and dignity.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on measurable client outcomes.
