The Center offers a wide range of leadership, management, and skill building educational programs, along with resources and tools for nonprofit staff and board leaders. The Center works to elevate the status of the nonprofit sector, acts as a convener on critical issues that impact nonprofits, and advocates on behalf of the sector.

About the Job

Description

The NH Center for Nonprofits has an exciting opportunity to join our team. The Executive Assistant supports the CEO and will be a resource to other team members, providing high level administrative support. The ideal candidate has superb organizational skills, is self-motivated and detail oriented, and enjoys problem solving and helping others succeed. The position is part-time at approximately 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare, edit and proofread correspondence, reports, presentations and other communications.
  • Plan and schedule meetings and appointments for the CEO 
  • Provide administrative support for Board and Board Committee meetings, including preparing and distributing meeting materials and follow-up actions as needed.
  • Manage donor acknowledgement and filing procedures.
  • Establish and maintain filing systems (paper and electronic).
  • Provide support for finance department.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Center events, programs and services to provide information and recommendations to constituents.
  • Propose new ideas to improve operational systems and processes. 
  • Conduct research and provide support with various projects and initiatives.
  • Attend on-line and in-person events as required.
  • Provide exemplary customer service.  
  • Works independently and within a team on special and ongoing projects.

Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to problem-solve.
  • Valid NH Driver’s License required.
