In 1890 Mary Elliot established Elliot Hospital with a significant planned gift and bequest, in honor of her husband, John. In keeping with her vision of a comprehensive, community-based healthcare setting, the Mary & John Elliot Charitable foundation has continued her tradition of philanthropy as we support the ever changing healthcare needs of our community.
The Mary & John Elliot Charitable Foundation is a non-profit organization created to provide financial support for the various healthcare needs of the southern New Hampshire and the Elliot Health System (also a non-profit organization). The Foundation is committed to building an ongoing circle of friends whose support will help identify and meet the emerging healthcare needs of Elliot Health System.

About the Job
In partnership with the Executive Director of Philanthropy and Community Benefit, the Events Specialist plans, coordinates, and implements a wide variety of fundraising activities and signature events, including but not limited to, the Walk for Hope, the Elliot Garden Party, the Elliot Golf Classic and Fall Fest Golf, and the Elliot Health System Gala events. This role will partner with the departmental staff to engage corporate donors and event participants; and will also have additional responsibilities for supporting internal Elliot Health Systems events, as needed.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plan, coordinate and implement a wide variety of fundraising activities and signature events.
- Coordinate and implement all logistics for fundraising activities and major events.
- Manage and implement sponsorship table/ticket sale activities event and planning/implementation and onsite fundraising activities for all events.
- Manage external Elliot fundraising and third-party fundraising opportunities in cooperation with other Mary & John Elliot Charitable Foundation team members.
- Engage in outreach for event sponsorship and Corporate Partnership Program in partnership with the Executive Director of Philanthropy
- Participate in the strategic planning process for the department to maximize the opportunities for charitable giving.
- Manage the identification of prospective donors and provide research data, list management, and updated accounts for these individuals and corporate donors in support of Elliot Health System programs.
- Represent the Foundation and maintain a visible presence across Elliot and within the greater Manchester community.
- Provide support to key internal Elliot Health System events (ie: system-wide recognition events), as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
