About the Organization: HEARTS is an award-winning peer support agency for adults who are challenged by the daily effects of living with, coping with, and recovering from mental health issues.
We encourage the development of relationships that will enable and empower learning, growth and understanding of other’s world view. We are an adult educational wellness center also offering respite and short-term transitional programs.

Position Summary: The Director of Peer Support Programs is responsible for the coordination and execution of all programs and services of HEARTS. The Director of Peer Support Programs will have both internal and external facing responsibilities ranging from implementation of program services to relationship development.
Essential Functions of the Position:
- Partner with the Executive Director in leadership and operational activities (program planning and execution, human resources, administration and organizational planning)
- Structure and lead teams to deliver outstanding programs and services
- Program data collection, reporting, and budgeting/finance duties
- Build and maintain strong relationships in the community
- Identify best practices and improve internal systems with an eye toward future needs and budget realities
- Mentoring, coaching of staff and members
Candidate Requirements:
- Lived experience with mental health issues and managing mental health wellness
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or positions with increasing responsibility demonstrated
- 5+ years working within mental health and/or homeless services community
- Intentional Peer Support certification preferred
- NH driver’s license and ability to pass background check

- A team player with a positive attitude who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a supportive, yet demanding, work environment.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with staff, board and community members with understanding and empathy
- Demonstrated experience with diverse responsibilities and multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide array of people
- Demonstrated experience supervising and empowering a team in a co-learning environment
Full-time/Part-time: This is a full-time (40 hours) salaried position with a flexible schedule to accommodate occasional evening events.
Compensation & Benefits: Salary range is $39,000-$44,000 commensurate with experience. We offer an excellent benefit package including paid time off, health and dental insurance benefits with option to cover dependents, retirement contribution, and more.
