About the Job
Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a Director of Development to work with the VP of Communications and Marketing, Senior Leadership team, and the Board of Directors to fulfill the strategic direction for the fundraising efforts of the agency.

Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and strategic planning around fundraising and philanthropic efforts.
- Build up core foundation of engaged supporters; create lasting relationships with donors and potential donors.
- Offer outreach to constituents and community members, particularly within the fundraising sphere.
- Initiate/expand major gifts and corporate relations programs (leadership giving)
- Create content around constituent communications, fundraising appeals (digital and print) related to development efforts, in collaboration with other staff.
- Knowledge and experience of latest digital fundraising tools and best practices.
- Coordinates agency and vendor management around fundraising and philanthropy, if applicable.
- Works effectively with the Board of Directors, Senior Leadership, and Management Team at Riverbend.
- Works with leadership team and finance department to produce related financial reports.
- Collaborates with Administrative Coordinator on database integration efforts and data analytics as pertaining to fundraising.
- Looks for opportunities throughout the fiscal year to achieve optimal financial outcomes.
- Uses expertise to educate Riverbend staff and Board members, present at conferences or workshops, attend events, and/or serve on community committees or Boards.
- Establishes and is active in professional networks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with advanced degree desirable.
- 10 or more years of development and/or philanthropic experience is preferred.
