Description

Position: Director of Community Outreach 

Do you believe that learning, music, food, and sports can unite us? Bring IT!, a Manchester nonprofit organization, is seeking a committed, hard-working and motivated person to join our team as a part time Director of Outreach, focused on building community connections, fundraising and communications. 

Job Responsibilities: 

Marketing and Communications: 25% Program Support: 25%
Fundraising and Community Outreach 50% 

Qualifications

  • be a proactive problem solve
  • demonstrated managerial ability preferred
  • be quick learner, an effective and understanding manager of people
  • be a self-starter with exceptional organizational skills
  • have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (bi-lingual preferred)
  • strong computer skills including: Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, Google Docs (social media savvy a plus)
  • be able to work independently or as part of a team
  • have reliable transportation
  • be willing to speak and represent Bring IT! in community settings
  • be able to lift up to 40 lbs on an as needed basis
  • be sensitive to the Academic Schedule 

Background check and substance use screening is required. 

Job Specifications: 

Work is 3-4 days in person and approximately 20 hours.  Work hours are mainly daytime:

 - Monday - Thursday, varying daytime hours and  5-8 pm when attending Tuesday or Wednesday program nights
-  Some additional evenings and weekends may be required for scheduled events
-  2 weeks paid vacation
- Salary Range: $25,000-$30,000
- Start Date:  Upon hire

About You: You are an ambitious, outgoing, and charismatic person that approaches each day with a positive attitude. You love working with kids and families and understand how to work calmly and effectively in a busy, sometimes noisy, but super fun nontraditional environment. You are extremely reliable and have the ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully, with minimal supervision. You have strong relationship skills and are willing to do community outreach and fundraising on behalf of Bring IT!. About Bring It!: The mission of the 501c3 nonprofit Bring IT! is to inspire kids to believe in themselves, achieve their goals, and do good. Bring IT! is an out of school program that serves 4th to 12th grade students whose families come from 30 countries and speak just as many languages at home. By empowering, equipping and exposing these students to resources they would otherwise miss, Bring IT! helps close the opportunity gap they face. A hub for the Manchester area beyond drop-in evening programs, Bring IT! has four key focuses: Academic Support, Dance and Performing Arts, Soccer-Fitness and Career Exploration.
