Position Title: Development & Marketing Coordinator
Location: Manchester, NH (some hybrid permitted)
Reports To: Senior Director of Philanthropy
Compensation: $24/hour
Hours: Part-time, up to 30 hours/week (Some evening/weekend work may be required)

Breathe New Hampshire is a nonprofit public health agency committed to eliminating lung disease and improving the quality of life for those living with respiratory conditions across the state. Through education, advocacy, and partnerships, we address key lung health issues such as asthma, COPD, vaping, air quality, and climate-related health impacts.

 

Position Summary


The Development & Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the fundraising, events, and marketing efforts of the organization. This position assists in implementing the annual fundraising plan, coordinates logistics and communications for events, and helps manage donor and sponsor relationships. The Development & Marketing Coordinator also contributes to marketing and outreach efforts, including maintaining the donor database, creating content for print and digital materials, and supporting social media and email campaigns. This is a dynamic role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for advancing the mission through community engagement and resource development.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in implementing the organization’s annual fundraising plan, including individual giving, corporate sponsorships, and grants.
  • Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, including logistics, vendor coordination, sponsor stewardship, and attendee communications.
  • Maintain and update donor database (NeonCRM), ensuring accuracy of records, gift processing, and timely acknowledgments.
  • Coordinate marketing and communication efforts across print, digital, and social media platforms to promote events, campaigns, and organizational mission.
  • Help design and distribute newsletters, appeal letters, press releases, and donor materials.
  • Manage content calendar and support social media strategy to increase engagement and visibility.
  • Research donor prospects, sponsorship opportunities, and community partnerships.
  • Assist with other development and marketing initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3 years of experience in development, fundraising, marketing, or event planning (nonprofit experience preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and donor databases experience a plus
  • Experience with social media platforms, email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact), and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva or Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable interacting with donors, sponsors, and community partners in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends for events
  • Passion for the mission and values of the organization
