The Position

The New Hampshire Community Loan Fund is looking for a Development Coordinator to support the Philanthropy team and facilitate the operational aspects of our “neighbors-investing-in-neighbors” model. 

As a member of the Philanthropy team, the Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting fundraising efforts by accurately processing investments and donations, conducting prospect research, pulling lists and processing large sets of data, maintaining database info, scheduling internal and external meetings, and supporting the team’s supporter engagement efforts including both appeals and stewardship communications. 

The successful candidate will be attentive to details, highly organized, and customer-service oriented. Prior fundraising experience is not required for this junior-level position, but a growth mindset is; we value employees who strive to improve, build their skills, and are always learning. 

In this position you will help scale the next chapter of capitalization at the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund. Responsibilities

Development Operations

  • Process gifts and investments, including proper coding and production of acknowledgments, Promissory Notes, and other paperwork.
  • Maintain investor, donor, and grant data and activity within Salesforce, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Produce monthly reports and update dashboards, including donations, investments, and grants.
  • Coordinate withOperations team to process investment maturities and ensure that Investor Relations materials are accurate and up to date.
  • Respond to donor and investor requests for information.
  • Help grow and cultivate the Community Loan Fund’s monthly giving program.

 Team and Administrative Support

  • Schedule and coordinate internal and external meetings, in support of Philanthropy colleagues.
  • Support the Community Loan Fund’s supporter engagement efforts, including mailed and digital communications and events.
  • Provide internal support for the cultivation and solicitation of our top supporters and prospects, including research, the preparation of briefing materials, and coordinating follow-up tasks.
  • Support portfolio and pipeline meetings for investor, donor, and grant areas.
  • Maintain the annual grants calendar, including submission and reporting deadlines, and support the research, writing, and execution of grants.

Other

  • Participate in bi-weekly Philanthropy team meetings and other department or organizational meetings or planning sessions.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines, including best practices in philanthropy and fair lending and ethical behavior.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Education and Experience

  • Two to five years of fundraising, donor relations, or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated experience with customer relations management strategies and systems.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills as well as the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with our supporters.
  • Strong computer skills, including all Microsoft Office systems and online communications.
  • Demonstrated success in coordinating and planning stewardship and cultivation events.

  • Ability to answer telephones and use standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
  • Ability to read, write, and understand and speak English clearly.
  • Ability to use a computer for Community Loan Fund business.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

Location: Concord, NH and hybrid (in office Tuesday and Wednesday)
