About the Organization

Founded in 2019, NHSFFP is a nonpartisan nonprofit that advocates for state-level policy changes to make New Hampshire's public school funding system more equitable for students and taxpayers alike, through educating, empowering, and organizing informed groups of stakeholders. Our work is pivotal in educating the public about how the current system impacts local communities and students, and in collaborating with lawmakers and stakeholders to push for necessary changes.

In recent years, our work has significantly expanded to meet the increasing demand for school funding reform and stand up to the growing, targeted attacks aimed at dismantling our public education system. While not a direct party in either the ConVal or Rand school funding lawsuits, we have stepped in to be the communications hub helping to ensure maximum news coverage and statewide understanding of the arguments making their way through the courts. Each year we give presentations about NH’s system of school funding to communities, school boards, business and nonprofit associations, and conferences in every corner of the state. Our social media presence and newsletter engagement have expanded dramatically in the past two years, helping to generate more than 21,000 emails to lawmakers  from over 5,500 Granite Staters in the 2024 and 2025 legislative sessions alone. Public education is at a tipping point, and NHSFFP is at the forefront of the consequential debate over school funding that will shape the long-term future of our schools and communities.
