SHARE Outreach is a well respected, community non-profit organization that provides emergency and ongoing support to individuals and families in need of basic necessities. SHARE provides food, clothing, and emergency financial assistance to area families in need who do not qualify for government assistance or for whom that assistance is insufficient or delayed in coming. SHARE also offers support to families and individuals looking to become more self reliant, including support for stable housing, employment, and education, as well as referrals and connections to other agencies.

About the Job

Description

The client advocate assists clients in enhancing their quality of life. Assessing client needs and eligibility for different services and benefits, the client advocate then helps individuals receive necessary services and support. The advocate informs clients of their rights and assists with obtaining necessary treatment, funding, food, housing, and other needs. The client advocate ensures clients have essential information and makes follow-up telephone calls. The client advocate monitors records and writes reports on the progress of clients. The qualified candidate will demonstrate compassionate and caring advocacy to promote dignity and the client's quality of life.  

Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or Social Work or at least five years of experience in those or related fields.
