NH Hunger Solutions (NHHS) is an Anti-Hunger Advocacy organization that focuses on addressing the root causes of poverty and hunger through four priority areas:
1. Engage in policy advocacy to close the gap between those eligible for and those enrolled in federal nutrition programs (SNAP, School Meals, Summer Meals, WIC)
2. Work with schools and communities to increase participation in School Meals
3. Increase public awareness of the causes of and solutions to hunger in New Hampshire
4. Engage in coalition building among existing and emerging food access councils and coalitions
About the Job
NH Hunger Solutions (NHHS) is an anti-hunger advocacy organization seeking to end food insecurity, improve equitable access to nutritious food, and address hunger’s root causes for all New Hampshire residents through four priority areas:
1. Advocacy to close the gap between those eligible for and those enrolled in federal nutrition programs (SNAP, School Meals, Summer Meals, WIC);
2. Supporting schools and communities to increase participation in school meals;
3. Increasing public awareness of the causes of and solutions to hunger in New Hampshire;
4. Supporting and building food access councils and coalitions to address hunger at the state, regional and local levels.
NHHS is looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team who has a background in administrative support. This position will support the Executive Director and will play a critical role in supporting the organization's efforts to address hunger.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage organizational calendar
- Manage and update organizational databases and systems including stakeholder/communications database, donor database, Google Drive, and work management system
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director
- Assist with communications to NHHS Stakeholders
- Assist in the coordination of events and outreach efforts
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma and 4 years administrative experience
- Facility with technology including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with database management and systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
