Our mission is to inspire exceptional vision, governance and leadership for non-profit and for-profit boards and senior management.

This mission, and indeed our unique organization, was born out of a sincere commitment to better our world.  We believe that each of us, in our own way, has the ability to make a difference in the lives of others.  And that counts.  It matters how you manage your program, work in your community and treat your staff.

It matters how you govern and lead your organization.

And the good news is that while you are adhering to good governance, you are also doing what is ultimately best for your organization.  And everyone benefits – whether you’re running a large, national nonprofit, a credit union, a foundation or a small community-based nonprofit.

Driven by a strong commitment to impact organizations at the highest level, Quantum Governance focuses its work at the Board, CEO and Senior Management levels.

Our consultants have more than 40 years of experience doing just that.

While our work is customized for the unique needs of our clients, there are some common elements that are often at the heart of what we do: Consulting, Presentations & Training, Facilitation, Assessments, Retreats and Implementation.

Description of Work Done
Quantum Governance was brought in to conduct a series of focus groups as the Congregational Church of Henniker began to explore the development of a new strategic plan. It had been nearly five years since the church had undertaken such an initiative. Working over a period of just two month, new Henniker resident and Managing Director and Senior Consultant, Jennie Boden, conducted six focus groups, speaking with more than 35 percent of the church's congregation.

A final report was prepared that is spearheading change at the church -- both in terms of its leadership and its governance efforts.

Description of Work Done
Quantum Governance began working with Irvine Nature Center (“Irvine”) in 2009, and our engagement with this client continues to this day. We were initially hired to facilitate a strategic planning process, only to identify critical funding challenges that were jeopardizing the organization’s future sustainability. We encouraged the Board to begin asking itself hard, fundamental questions about its governance and strategic priorities, and ultimately, the Board opted to shutter one of its central programs, saving the organization and positioning Irvine for future success.

Subsequent engagements with Irvine included a governance assessment and a 2015 strategic planning engagement that resulted the organization’s 2015-2018 strategic plan that is helping to drive the organization to higher levels of mission success. Additionally, we provided executive mentoring when a transition with a new Executive Director proved challenging. Today, the organization is exceeding all expectations, as is its Executive Director. Quantum Governance continues to be available to them for advice, resource and counsel on an as-needed basis.
