Second Start is a private non-profit educational corporation located in Concord, New Hampshire since 1971. Second Start offers a wide variety of programs designed to improve the economic and educational well-being of New Hampshire residents.
Our mission is to help people become more productive workers, family members and community citizens. We provide supportive, affordable and effective educational programs, including: adult basic education, job training and career counseling, education and training for at-risk youth, and child care services.

Certified Classroom Teacher
40 hours per week/ 190 day contract
Second Start Alternative High School is seeking an engaging certified classroom teacher for the 2024-2025 school year who will become part of a dynamic team that uses cross-curricular and hands-on activities to engage students. Project and field based learning opportunities are used frequently in meeting course competencies and teachers are given supported creative freedom to develop curriculum. There is a low student to teacher ratio which provides an opportunity to individualize instruction to meet student needs. The school culture fosters strong colleague connections and values rapport building with students.
