Veteran's Resort Chapel Receives $20,000 from Dealership

A check for $20,000 was presented Monday to the Veteran's Resort Chapel. Organizer Peter MacDonald said the money will allow the group to build three or four more tiny homes on the Lee property, which is dedicated to keeping combat vets from homelessness.

Jerry Madden, Friends Program Executive Director, Announces Retirement

Today, Jerry Madden, the Executive Director of the Friends Program, announced his retirement from the organization in April 2017. Madden has served as the Executive Director of the Friends Program since March 2007. Prior to that he worked for the Concord Police Department and spent his last 6 years on the force as the Chief of Police.

HNH Foundation Awards $580,561 to Improve the Health of New Hampshire Children

The HNH Foundation awarded $580,561 in grants during its Fall 2016 program cycle, bringing the total awarded in 2016 to over $1.1 million. The awards benefited 6 health-related initiatives and projects at non-profit and community organizations across the state.

NH Charitable Foundation Pledges Three Years of Support to Families First’s Dental Program

Families First Health and Support Center recently received a three-year grant worth a total of $60,000 from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation’s Portsmouth Rehabilitation Center Fund. The grant will support ongoing services at their Dental Center in Portsmouth and the establishment of a weekly mobile dental clinic in Seabrook, scheduled to open early 2017.

Families First Health and Support Center Awarded $5,000 grant

The Provident Community Charitable Organization recently awarded a $5,000 grant to Families First Health and Support Center to provide oral health education, screenings and cleanings to students at Seabrook Elementary School and Seacoast Head Start. This is the eleventh grant awarded through The Provident Bank’s charitable foundations to Families First, including four grants to the dental program in Seabrook.
