ARK Church

Our Mission: To love the people of Manchester and the state of New Hampshire into a relationsjhip with Jesus Christ and to give away what God has given us.

We are a Bible believing and Bible teaching church that follows the command of Jesus Christ to "feed my sheep"'

We do this not only through our church services but also through our food pantry.

Our food pantry is lovingly named aftre a woman who was known as the unofficial mayor of Manchester NH, Karen Angela Carter. Karen was known to all the Elm St. merchants as that crazy lady who stood in the middle of Elm St. with a cigarrette in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other directing traffic. That was one side of Karen you also would see her at all the Aldermanic meetings as an advocate for the homeless. Even though karen herself was homeless she would come into our church for a hot meal and a cup of coffee. We eventually started to stock microwave ready foods for her and then she started asking if she could bring them to other homeless. We  soon expanded into sending Karen out almost every day with bags of food and also started a drop in food pantry. Karen in the meantime started coming to our services she turned out to be our best street evangelist.

Karen eventually was able to transistion into an apartment but unfortunately was diagnosed with a fast moving terminal cancer, After having the honor of preaching Karen's memorial service which was attended by representatives of the Mayor's office, The Fire Department and the Police Dept, Downtown Manchester and many Elm St businessess. We decided to name our food pantry the KarenAngela Carter Memorial Food Pantry. Since the year 2010 we have served over 250,000 pounds of food to those in need throughout our State.

We have also started Operation Christmas Tree which provides Christmas Presents to the needy children of our fine State of NH. With the help of USMC Toys for Tots and generous donations from the community we provide at least 3 giftes to each child at least. For the past 4 years we we blessed to be able to provide gifts to over 340 children each year.

We are a volunteer church everyone from the pastors down to the workers volunteer their time. No one receives a paycheck in fact many of them donate money to help. With the exception of the normal expenses of rent utilities, food and nominal expenses to run the church/food pantry $.90 cents of every dollar donated goes right back out to help our communities....

During the pandemic our Food Pantry has been open every Tuesday from 1:00PM to 5:00PM staffed by volunteers who refused to close down.

Last Christmas through Operation Christmas Tree we were able to provide Christmas presents for about 341 children who received 3 presents each. We have donated gifts to an average of 300 children per year for the past 5 years.Previously to that we averaged 100-200 children per year from 2007.

Over the past 13 years we have provided over 100 Thanksgiving Baskets per year

We have taken part in National Night Out programs in Manchester and Goffstown NH.

December of 2018 We were able to donate over $10,000 worth of clothing to the homeless of our city thanks to a generous donation.
