Webster House

The Webster House, founded in 1884, is a private children's group home located in Manchester NH.  We are licensed by the Department of Health and Human Services to serve up to 21 boys and girls. We provide a safe, structured home for children who are unable to remain at home due to reasons of abuse and neglect or difficulties they may be having within the community.

We offer individual counseling, group counseling, crisis stabilization, case management, emergency respite services, school liaison, tutoring, independent living training, treatment planning, and family support services. The primary goal for the majority of children entering the Webster House, when possible, is family reunification.

We are an open, community based home that works hard to help stabilize children that are struggling. The highly trained, professional staff of the Webster House is committed to creating an environment that offers firm structure to its residents in order to stabilize their lives, resolve issue and encourage personal growth. We also have a strong recreation and volunteer program to help the children regain a sense of the healthy childhood that may have been disrupted by the issues they are facing.

Children between the ages of 8 and 18 can be referred for placement at the Webster House.  Placement is typically from the Division of Child, Youth and Families, Juvenile Probation, or private pay.  Lengths of stay are determined on a case by case basis.  Short term emergency or respite care are some of the options available for those in need.
