The New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra's mission is to create live, multisensory performances which excite and engage our audience. The orchestra is comprised of a mix of volunteer and professional musicians from around the state and country. We are located at the newly built Seifert Performing Arts Center at Salem High School in Salem NH. We welcome anyone regardless of age and have a special performance in March where we connect with Art and Music teachers, parents, and students from around the state in a friendly mucical art project. Kids enjoy seeing their art projected behind the orchestra during the performances. Our goals are to continually improve upon the orchestra and audience's experience during and after the performances, increase community outreach efforts and connect with more elementary school children in New Hampshire.
Drawn to the Music is our annual elementary school outreach program for art and music teachers and students from around the state of New Hampshire. We connect with music and art teachers through partnering with orgainzations like NH Art Educators Association to get the word out. Students will listen to a piece of music and draw their interpretation. The orchestra will pick hundreds of drawings and showcase the artwork behind the orchestra during the concert as they perform the piece.
