Visions for Creative Housing Solutions

Our Mission: Visions for Creative Housing Solutions, Inc. provides residential options, services, and supports designed to meet the needs of adults with developmental disabilities and similar disabling conditions. We are dedicated to fostering growth and independence through vocational, social, and recreational opportunities.

History:  Visions was founded in 2012 by a group of parents and community members to to proactively address an orderly transition of care for adults with developmental and similar disabilities from their aging parents to a stable, reliable and caring home environment.. Visions provides each individual with surroundings that are conducive to long term friendships and a sense of well being and self worth, enabling residents to lead rich and full lives as productive members of their community.

Visions home location at Sunrise Farm in Enfield, New Hampshire has three individual bedrooms in the farm house, two bedrooms and communal living area in an attached apartment, and four efficiency apartments with access to common social areas, pool, and kitchen on 80 pastoral acres. The property was originally owned and operated beginning in 1955 as Kluge’s Inn on Sunset Hill by Executive Director Sylvia Dow’s family, and later became their private home. It is safe rural setting with built-in pool, barn, hiking trails, and flower and vegetable gardens. Residents all work in the community and public transportation is close by.

In the summer of 2019, a grant from the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority funded energy efficient upgrades and renovations at Sunrise Farm that we are excited to share with a ribbon cutting ceremony during our September annual open house.  Everyone is welcome!  For details visit our web site at:

Visions is also in the early stages of expansion with the Green Street Project, which involves renovating two multi-unit buildings into apartments for an additional 10 adults with disabilities in Lebanon, New Hampshire.  The Green Street Apartments will continue the Visions model of supporting independence while also providing common areas and a large kitchen/dining room for family-style dinners and social gatherings.  Space for administrative offices and accommodations for overnight staffing will ensure that all residents have access to wrap-around supports as needed.

The demand for housing options that encourage independence while offering wrap-around support services as needed for adults with disabilities continues to grow, as the current Visions waiting list of 25 individuals demonstrates.  Visions strives to meet that need and to encourage others to use the Visions model to develop supported housing options in their own communities.
