Grafton County Senior Citizens Council (GCSCC), established in Lebanon in 1972, now serves older adults through senior centers and programs located throughout north central and northwestern New Hampshire. GCSCC, supported by public and private partners, provides a wide range of services for more than 8,500 clients a year. The Council seeks "to develop, strengthen, and provide programs and services which support the health, dignity, and independence" of older adults and adults with disabilities. GCSCC's locations in Lebanon, Orford, Haverhill, Littleton, Lincoln, Plymouth, Bristol, and Canaan serve communities throughout the 1,747 square mile Grafton County region. Among the services provided by GCSCC each weekday are: "Meals on Wheels," Senior Center community meals and activities, accessible transportation, outreach and counseling, chore assistance, telephone reassurance, and a wide variety of health, wellness, arts, and continuing education programs.
