Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Granite State College

The Mission of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Granite State College (GSC) as a member-driven, volunteer -based organization is to develop and provide a broad array of affordable and accessible lifelong learning, social and participatory activities for active and intellectually engaged adults over the age of 50.

Founded in 2004, OLLI at GSC is one of 120 OLLIs at colleges and universities nationwide, initiated and supported by the Bernard Osher Foundation. OLLI offers over 300, learning for the fun of it courses per year as well as educational group travel and social events to nearly 1200 members. Course topics include history, literature, world culture, religions, social issues, the arts and more. Members are invited to take OLLI classes at GSC campuses in Concord, Conway, Manchester, Portsmouth and Rochester. Membership and class fees are modest and tuition assistance is available.

More than 40% of OLLI members volunteer for their organization.  Opportunities range from presenting classes, baking for events, planning events, working in the office to leading the organization.
