Chief Operating Officer/Chief Compliance Officer

What we are looking for in our COO/ Chief Compliance Officer?

This position serves as both COO and Chief Compliance Officer and is an ideal opportunity for an experienced, ambitious health care professional who is seeking a meaningful leadership role in a successful, federally funded health care organization. The ideal candidate must be hands-on, lead by example and motivate staff to deliver measurable, accountable, cost-effective results that further the mission of the organization. The COO will be an integral member of Manchester Community Health Center Health’s senior management team. S/he will oversee and direct all internal operations at each of Manchester Community Health Center Health’s clinic sites. In addition, s/he will be an essential contributor to the agency’s growth planning process and will help shape the future of a fast-growing, financially stable, well-respected clinic organization.
Reporting to the CEO and working as a key member of the organization’s leadership team, the COO will take a lead role in building, implementing, and overseeing all of the organization’s systems, processes, workflows, and procedures. The COO will have bottom line responsibility for leading and managing all operational and administrative aspects of the organization. The COO will be responsible for a comprehensive array of administrative services and (clinical) operations that are required to effectively and efficiently support the organization’s programs and development. S/he will be responsible for ensuring that MCHC’ nonprofit services and funding comply with all national, state, and city regulations, certifications, and licensing requirements. In conjunction with the CEO and CFO, s/he will develop the plan of operations and coordinate corresponding budgets reflecting the volume, revenues, expenses, staffing and capital needs of the organization. The position will also assist the CEO and management team in new clinical program development, ensuring participatory decision making and appropriate design and implementation.

1. Education/Training:  Master’s Degree in Health Care/Business Administration or equivalent experience. RN Licensure preferable but not required.  Health Center Compliance Intensive Fundamentals Training (or will be provided).
2. Experience:  Minimum of five years of progressively more responsible management experience, preferably in an ambulatory primary care environment; experience managing multiple locations of care, supervisory experience required.
3. Knowledge/Skills:  Knowledge of management and office procedures.   Must also be able to manage a busy office setting, and juggle priorities in frequently stressful situations.
