Job Summary

• The Executive Director provides the vision and overall leadership for the implementation of the mission of the Concord Coalition to End Homeless (CCEH).   The Executive Director creates and executes a transformational, evidence-based, community-wide strategy to end chronic homelessness in Concord.

Essential Functions

• Engages with the Board of Directors in setting priorities, including a periodic review and update of CCEH’s strategic plan.
• In collaboration with the Senior Staff, translates the vision of the strategic plan into actionable steps.
• Acts as chief communicator for CCEH.
• Builds institutional and personal relationships with stakeholders, allies, and donors.
• Educates self, board, staff, and the community on best practices for ending homelessness.
• Supervises the senior staff, currently consisting of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Director of Housing Initiatives (DHI) and Director of Development (DOD).
• With the assistance of the DHI, actively collaborates with key stakeholders (government officials, donors, businesses, other agencies, developers, real estate professionals) to explore, evaluate and execute on tangible projects to house individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Advocates publicly on issues aligned with CCEH’s mission.
• Identifies and pursues grant applications with the COO and DOD.
• Leads stewardship of private donations and coordinates donor acknowledgement with the DOD.
• Reviews and approves top-level policies created by the COO.
• Creates budget in collaboration with the COO.

Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• Experience with social services and /or housing development, fundraising is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience leading an organization or program and managing people.
