Project and Relationship Manager

NH Center for Nonprofits

The NH Center for Nonprofits is a statewide association with more than 700 nonprofit, corporate, and individual members who have joined together to strengthen and give voice to the state’s nonprofit sector. The Center offers a wide range of leadership, management, and skill building educational programs, along with resources and tools for nonprofit staff and board leaders. The Center works to elevate the status of the nonprofit sector, acts as a convener on critical issues that impact nonprofits, and advocates on behalf of the sector.


The Center seeks a dynamic, highly motivated person who is eager to share their passion for the work of the nonprofits to join our team. The Project and Relationship Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing capacity building offerings as part of a collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the nonprofit sector and will bring knowledge of what is needed to build capacity in nonprofit organizations in the areas of governance, leadership, finance and more. The candidate will thrive on building relationships and engaging with a wide variety of partners including nonprofit leaders, consultants, business leaders and funders.  

 

The Center strives to foster an organizational culture where each person’s strengths are built upon to bring the highest value services and products to NH’s nonprofits. Our newest team member will be someone who collaborates effectively, understands the importance of role clarity in each project and also works independently as required.

Requirements:
  • 5 years or more experience within the nonprofit sector
  • Knowledge of issues and capacity building needs of nonprofit board and executive leaders 
  • Prior experience in project management, curriculum development
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and public speaking
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Team player with ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Valid NH Driver’s License required 
Responsibilities:
  • Keep abreast of national and state trends facing the nonprofit sector 
  • Assess the ongoing training and information needs of New Hampshire nonprofit leaders 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key community and partners 
  • Plan, oversee and lead a variety of projects from ideation through to completion  
  • Oversee corporate sponsorship program, identifying and soliciting corporate prospects, and stewarding existing relationships  
  • Publicly represent the Center at external events and with stakeholders 
  • Attend, present at and/or facilitate events as required 
How to Apply:

The Center’s office is located in Concord, but the staff is currently working remotely. During orientation and training, travel to Concord for socially distanced training will be required.
